Carmen Maldonado is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with over 30 years of experience specializing in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and support for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Carmen's approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help clients process complex emotions and work toward meaningful change. She has extensive experience working in hospital behavioral health units, emergency departments, and community-based mental health settings, providing assessments, facilitating psychoeducational groups, and managing programs designed to empower and support individuals in crisis.

A recognized leader in her field, Carmen has managed residential services for survivors of domestic violence, overseen mental health stabilization services, and trained numerous staff in trauma-informed care practices. She is passionate about fostering safety, resilience, and healing in her clients and the communities she serves.

Carmen holds two Master’s degrees in Professional Clinical Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from National University. She is honored to continue her work with a commitment to empathetic, culturally responsive care.
